Education & Projects

Middlesex College [2600 Woodbridge Ave, Edison, NJ 08837] - Associates - Business Information Technology - Sept 2017 to Jun 2022

Kean University [1040 Morris Ave, Union, NJ 07083] - Bachelors - Information Technology - Sept 2022 to Dec 2024

  • Turbo Engage - TECH*4313*02 [SENIOR PROJECT IN IT | SPRING 2024]: A small controller built off an Arduino board with reprogrammable buttons & the ability to have a "turbo" functionality, a way to rapidly press a singular button. I was predominantly on 3D printing duty for this project, but I also contributed to the research & coding side of the project.
  • Untitled VR final project - TECH*3640*01 [VIRTUAL & AUGMENTED REALITY | FALL 2023]: A tiny project made in Unity with the Meta Quest 2 in mind; an endeavor featuring learning C#, the Unity engine itself, and ripping assets from compiled Unity projects - most of the assets for that project was ripped from one of my favorite games of all time AI: THE SOMNIUM FILES, a game that also runs off the Unity engine. If the professor specifically told us to pull models & animations from external sources, I'd say that's fair game, right?
  • Unnamed SQL final project - TECH*3740*01 [IT DATABASE MGMT SYSTEMS | FALL 2023]: The last project of the class, working on adding new entries to a database via a remote Linux connection and a SQL Workbench application. Especially critical learning when to seek out help when you need it - I owe my perseverance in that class to the Code Samurai extra help group.
  • Various HTML websites (just like this one!) - CPS*2010*01 [CAREER EDUCATION | SPRING 2024], ENG*3091*03 [TECHNICAL WRITING | FALL 2023], TECH*3500*03 [WEB CLIENT-SIDE PROGRAMMING | FALL 2023]: A bunch of miscellaneous HTML websites made for all 3 of these classes with various degrees of complexity. One of these days I'll make myself a super complex website similar to those found on Neocities (heck, most of the CSS bases I used for all those projects came from a Neocities user; link in the page footer), but these simple ones for school projects will do for now.

    A small bio

    Hi there, I'm Wesley Flores.

I am 24 years old, and am generally the textbook definition of a "nerd" (predominantly thanks to my autism giving me dopamine whenever I think or ramble about my hyperfixations). I'm very interested in technology, video games, and anything else powered by electricity. Some non-nerdy sports I also do are:

    • Swimming
    • Skiing
    • Cycling
    • Ice hockey

Beyond that I also dabble in collecting, social media management, website building (like this site!), and game modding. Not a whole lot else to say on this end. I hope you enjoy your stay here!
